Levi's Stadium

The 68,000 seat Levi's Stadium will be home to the San Francisco 49ers. Designed with many sustainable elements, the stadium will be expandable to host premier events, and has been selected as the site for Super Bowl L. The stadium is also being designed to accommodate Major League Soccer and World Cup events. It is one of the largest stadium projects in the Northwest designed by HNTB.

Although the project will look like a steel, glass and concrete project, there are over 800,000 units of concrete masonry used in the construction. The unique mix design of the CMU includes red (lava) cinders, is reminiscent of the team colors, and the face of the block is finished with a smooth, ground face to expose the aggregates, making it a memorable and durable use of concrete masonry.

See how Amerimix Mortar was used in the project here.
